As a Doctorate of Physical Therapy student, I highly encouraged both of my recently retired parents to stay active. I attended one of Ron's Tai Chi classes with my parents and I found that he is not only a great teacher, and motivator, but extremely knowledgeable in his field. As students we learn about the benifits of Tai Chi in some of our course work as it is beneficial in reducing pain, improving strength and balance, reducing falls and keeping the mind sharp. Ron's course was very low impact and he takes the time to make sure novice learners are successful. All movements are safe and pain free for participants. I would highly encourage anyone who is looking to stay active, but is concerned about injury or unsure of starting an exercise program on their own, to join one of Ron's classes. Staying active is key to a long and healthy life.

After 5 weeks of Tai Chi for health my balance has increased quite a bit and my knees feel much better. About 5 months ago I started to feel my age in my knees, especially my left one. If I kneeled down I had to use my arms and upper body to stand back up, but I noticed last week that I could stand back up from a kneeling position without using my arms to pull me up. I would recommend it to people of all ages. Even if you are healthy. Besides it just looks cool.
